In mid June, Kacey and I sat in the living room of our home in West Des Moines.  She was on the microfiber/leather couch and I was hunched forward in my recliner.  We carefully put together a pros and cons list about finalizing our offer on the Brenton House and moving to Dallas Center.  As the night lingered on, and the list grew, she finally rose to her feet, a slight smile on her face, and said, “Danny, imagine what Christmas will be like in that house.  Imagine the girls coming down the stairs Christmas morning.  Imagine decorating it.”  That was it.  She had me.  We called the realtor and the rest is history.

This is our first Christmas in our new home and the decorating budget seems to grow each time we visit At Home or one of the big box stores.  Is it worth it?  Definitely.  The pictures below speak for themselves.  I can’t wait for Christmas morning and the pitter patter of little feet running down the stairs.  Merry Christmas, everyone!
